Semi automated pallet type fixture
Semi automated pallet type laser weld fixture for attaching the feed through wire to the top of the stack.
The goal was accomplished by providing close fitting nest for the stack and a small spring loaded finger to locate and hold the wire. This assembly is then mounted on a ball bearing shaft on top of a pallet that travels to the work station on a conveyor. It is then connected to a shaft on the machine by a electro magnetic clutch that provides 45 deg rotation to the right and 45 deg rotation to the left to present the weld area to the laser beam.
