Semi automated laser weld fixture for closing flat capacitor cases
The assignment was to design a portable pallet type fixture that can be loaded on a bench while others are being run in the process. They are loaded and placed on a conveyor and brought to the work station. The fixture must hold and locate the parts precisely and through cams operated be the machine the cover clamp must retract and rotate out of the way so the weld can be completed.
